1. Overview
This Privacy Policy explains how BLD Pulse ("we," "us," or "our") collects, uses, shares, and protects information when you visit our website, subscribe to the "Today's Pulse" briefing or our email newsletters, or otherwise interact with our Service. By using the Service, you agree to the practices described here.
2. Information we collect
- Information you provide: your email address and any details you submit when subscribing, selecting briefing preferences, contacting us, or purchasing a subscription (such as name, company, and role, where requested).
- Payment information: if you purchase a subscription, payment is processed by a third-party payment provider. We do not store full payment-card numbers on our systems.
- Usage and device data: standard log and analytics data such as IP address, browser type, pages viewed, referring URLs, and email open/click activity, collected via cookies and similar technologies.
3. How we use your information
- To deliver the briefings, newsletters, and other Service features you request;
- To personalize content and briefing preferences;
- To process subscriptions, payments, and account administration;
- To communicate with you about the Service, including service messages and, where permitted, marketing;
- To measure engagement and improve our content and Service;
- To protect the Service and comply with legal obligations.
4. Email and your choices
We use a third-party email platform (currently Mailchimp) to manage subscriptions and send briefings. Every marketing email includes an unsubscribe link, and you can opt out at any time; we will honor opt-out requests promptly as required by the CAN-SPAM Act and applicable law. We may still send you essential service or transactional messages related to your account.
5. Cookies and analytics
We and our service providers use cookies and similar technologies to operate the site, remember preferences, and understand usage. You can control cookies through your browser settings; disabling some cookies may affect site functionality.
6. How we share information
We do not sell your personal information. We share information only with: (a) service providers who help us operate the Service (for example, email delivery, hosting, payment processing, and analytics), under contracts that limit their use of the data; (b) authorities or other parties where required by law or to protect our rights; and (c) a successor entity in connection with a merger, acquisition, or sale of assets.
7. Data retention
We retain personal information for as long as needed to provide the Service, comply with legal obligations, resolve disputes, and enforce our agreements. When information is no longer needed, we take reasonable steps to delete or de-identify it.
8. Security
We use reasonable administrative, technical, and organizational measures to protect your information. However, no method of transmission or storage is completely secure, and we cannot guarantee absolute security.
9. Your privacy rights
Depending on where you live, you may have rights to access, correct, delete, or restrict the use of your personal information, to opt out of certain processing, and to not be discriminated against for exercising these rights (including under the California Consumer Privacy Act and similar U.S. state laws, and the GDPR for individuals in the European Economic Area / UK). To exercise any right, contact us at BLDR@BLDPulse.com. We will respond as required by applicable law.
10. International users
BLD Pulse is operated from the United States. If you access the Service from outside the U.S., you understand your information may be transferred to and processed in the U.S., where data-protection laws may differ from those in your jurisdiction.
11. Children's privacy
The Service is intended for business professionals and is not directed to children under 16. We do not knowingly collect personal information from children. If you believe a child has provided us information, please contact us so we can delete it.
